This is a short profile about the two cast members in our trailer. Ben Hurst was part of my group, but Sophie Curran was not, she was in another group in the class.
Benjamin Hurst as Adam Black
Ben was born on the 29th December 1997 and was chosen to take on the lead role in “The Door” based on his passion for acting. He has achieved awards for acting such as a Performing Excellence award. We chose Ben to be the main character as he was in our group so knew what he had to do in detail, and also he does A level drama, which means he is confident and competent when it comes to acting.
Sophie was born on the 21st August 1998 and was 17 years old at the time of filming. She has a lot of interest in acting and drama and is currently studying Media Studies, Drama + Theatre Studies and Philosophy + Ethics.
We chose Sophie as she does A level drama so is also confident and very able to act and she was also in our Media class, so we knew she would always be available during media lessons.
